The Clinical Director will oversee clinical operations, regulatory compliance, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and overall program performance while ensuring the highest standards of care for patients and families.

Clinical Director Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Home Health and Hospice services
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, Medicare, and accreditation standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff including nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and operational performance indicators
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to support patient care needs
  • Lead performance improvement and risk management initiatives
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development activities
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and timely completion of required reports
  • Collaborate with physicians, community partners, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Support census growth and program development efforts
  • Foster a culture of compassionate, patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Education & Certification Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current BLS certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within service areas as needed
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of Home Health and/or Hospice experience required OR
  • Previous Clinical Director or healthcare leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Home Health and Hospice regulations, standards, and reimbursement models
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and staff development skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous management or director-level experience within Home Health or Hospice settings
  • Experience with Medicare Conditions of Participation and survey readiness
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and healthcare operations management
  • Demonstrated success leading interdisciplinary teams
