Introduction
This position involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs, particularly in the automotive vehicle power management and controls/optimization domain. The role encompasses the entire software development lifecycle, including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality, and deploying the software.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advance Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Outstanding software engineering and design knowledge; OO Design Principles
- 4 years of Object-oriented Development experience with Java Enterprise concepts
- Experience with Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud)
- Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL Database
- Experience in web front-end development with JavaScript and frameworks like Angular or React
- Experience with testing tools such as Karma, Jasmine, Junit, etc.
- Experience in Agile practices (SAFE, Scrum, Kanban, TDD, etc.)
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Experience with microservice architecture, REST APIs, SOAP/WSDL/XML/SOA
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements
- Solve complex problems using various tools, languages, frameworks, and methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, and architects
- Define and implement software test strategies, guidelines, and processes
- Continuously improve performance and optimize applications
- Support security practices to safeguard user data
- Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces
- Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices
