You will serve as a technical leader who advises on architecture, mentors engineers, and drives engineering excellence across complex modernization efforts.Responsibilities Include:Lead architecture, design, and implementation of full‑stack capabilities across cloud‑native microservicesOwn major system components and guide the technical roadmap for modernization and cloud adoptionDevelop distributed, secure, scalable back‑end services using Python, Java/Spring Boot, or similar technologiesArchitect and govern cloud deployments (AWS), including Kubernetes clusters, IaC, security controls, and reliability patternsGuide teams in DevSecOps execution, including GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, secure coding standards, and supply‑chain integrityIntegrate large‑scale data, search, or analytic pipelines, such as Kafka, NiFi, ElasticsearchPartner with product owners, mission users, and cross‑functional engineering teams to define requirements and technical strategySupport mid‑level and junior engineers; perform code reviews and drive engineering best practicesEvaluate emerging technologies (LLMs/AI, synthetic data, augmented development tools) for mission applicabilityEducation Requirements:BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fieldExperience Requirements:3+ years of full‑stack software engineering experienceExperience leading technical delivery or architecture for cloud‑native or distributed systemsExperience with Python, C++, Java/Spring Boot, or similar enterprise service stacksExperience with SQL or NoSQL databases (such as: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or SQLite, etc.)Experience architecting and deploying solutions using AWS (preferably) or Azure cloud frameworksExperience with containerization and orchestration such as Docker and KubernetesExperience with complex API ecosystems (such as: FastAPT, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL)Experience building secure, high‑performance applications in classified environmentsSpecial Skills Desired:Expertise with distributed search or data platforms such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, Kafka, NiFiExperience modernizing legacy applications into modern frameworksExperience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationExperience integrating AI/ML or LLM‑based development workflowsExperience supporting GEOINT or Intelligence Community analytic missionsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering. or related fieldApplicant selected must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, with ability to take a polygraph.
