Schwab Banking and Move-Money Technology organization is the heart of the Core Technology Solutions group providing the said business capabilities to Schwab clients. Our mission is to empower and develop our people to provide technology solutions and thought leadership that delivers innovative and cost optimized Banking and Move Money capabilities. Schwab Banking Move-Money Technology is seeking a dynamic Fullstack developer with passion for technology and excellence to be part of the Move-Money team. We are responsible for transferring assets between accounts. We provide sophisticated products that help clients and advisors succeed in their business efforts.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, build, and support scalable web applications and service-based solutions that strengthen business capabilities and client experiences. In a collaborative Agile environment, you will solve technical challenges, improve reliability and performance, and partner with engineers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure, modern, API-driven solutions. This role requires strong technical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to engineering best practices, while offering opportunities to grow your skills, mentor others, and contribute to meaningful business outcomes.

What you have

Required Qualfications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years of experience with Angular and .NET Core/C# development.
  • Experience developing and supporting applications using Java technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and managing REST and SOAP-based APIs within transaction-processing environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud technologies.
  • Experience working with relational database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or comparable platforms, including database design and performance tuning.
  • Experience utilizing CI/CD practices and modern software delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience using version control tools such as Git.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, architecture, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience contributing to application and platform architecture design discussions.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or developing other engineers.
  • Experience designing highly scalable, cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience improving software quality, automation, and engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions through collaboration and partnership.
  • Financial services or transaction-processing industry experience.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
