    Job description

SCAN Health is seeking a mid-level Full-Stack Product Designer to support the design and evolution of member-facing and internal digital products. This role will contribute to end-to-end product design across a variety of digital products, helping deliver intuitive, accessible, and compliant healthcare experiences.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead end-to-end product design from discovery through delivery, translating business, regulatory, and user requirements into accessible, responsive digital solutions.
    • Apply service design methodologies to map complex healthcare ecosystems, collaborating closely with product and business stakeholders to optimize end-to-end flows and pinpoint structural improvements.
    • Synthesize user needs using frameworks like Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) to streamline fragmented clinical systems, reduce "swivel" between disparate tools, and embed customized, cohesive solutions directly into existing workflows.
    • Design proactive, empathetic experiences that alleviate member anxiety and administrative burden during critical healthcare journeys—such as care coordination, diagnostic scheduling, and equipment access.
    • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UIs, leveraging, extending, and contributing to established design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
    • Ensure all designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and actively incorporate user research insights and analytics for iterative improvements.

    Requirements

    • 3–6 years of professional UX/Product Design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped digital products.
    • Strong hands-on Design Systems experience, including designing within established systems, working with reusable components and patterns, and contributing to or extending component libraries.
    • Experience designing for complex, regulated healthcare ecosystems, with a strong preference for backgrounds in Medicare Advantage, health insurance, or clinical platforms.
    • Proven ability to untangle complex workflows and multi-system processes, specifically within cross-functional agile teams.
    • Proficiency in Figma and digital whiteboarding tools, combined with robust communication and technical documentation skills.

    Nice to Have

    • Familiarity with CMS-driven experiences.
    • Experience planning and conducting generative and evaluative research.
