    Full Stack .NET Developer
    Remote

    Key Responsibilities

    • Application Development & Modernization: Develop, enhance, modernize, and support enterprise production applications using .NET and C#, including both MVC and legacy Web Forms environments.

    • Front-End Engineering: Build responsive, production-quality interfaces, pages, and reusable components using HTML5, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript.

    • UI/UX Implementation: Apply UX/UI best practices, usability principles, and design thinking to front-end architecture—covering layout, interaction patterns, and responsiveness—while collaborating closely with designers on implementation details.

    • Design Systems & Frameworks: Implement and extend components within existing Bootstrap and Material environments while transitioning into a standardized Enterprise Design System, leveraging a deep architectural understanding of how a true design system differs from a component library or CSS framework.

    • Accessibility Engineering & Remediation: Write semantic code compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and remediate existing accessibility gaps, conducting hands-on testing with screen readers (such as JAWS) and automated testing suites (such as axe).

    • Backend Services & Database Integration: Design, build, and maintain REST APIs, supporting middleware integrations, and SQL Server database operations.

    • Security & Data Compliance: Apply secure coding practices, including the proper implementation of encryption APIs, and handle sensitive or classified data in strict accordance with regulatory and enterprise security standards.

    • DevOps & Release Management: Manage source control, build automation, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

    • Production Support: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues across multiple applications and production environments.

    Required Qualifications

    • Core Technical Proficiency: Strong, hands-on C# / .NET development experience paired with deep Front-End engineering expertise (HTML5, CSS, Sass, JavaScript). Both areas represent the core foundation of this role.

    • Currency of Experience: Recent hands-on experience (within the last 3 years) utilizing modern frameworks and current development best practices to support upcoming enterprise standardization initiatives.

    • UI/UX & Portfolio Requirement: Demonstrated proficiency in design thinking, usability principles, and responsive design, with a proven ability to turn wireframes and mockups into working interfaces. Candidates must provide a portfolio or code samples demonstrating front-end and UI work at the time of application.

    • Accessibility Expertise: Formal WCAG training combined with demonstrated hands-on experience coding and testing for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance using assistive technologies and automated evaluation tools.

    • Enterprise Design Systems: Direct experience building and maintaining applications within a structured enterprise design system.

    • Backend & DevOps: Working knowledge of SQL Server, REST APIs, middleware integrations, and managing CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.

    • Enterprise Security: Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise production applications and handling sensitive or classified data securely.

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced Education: Graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a degree in Design/HCI combined with a strong software engineering background. Multiple degrees and specialized certifications are highly valued.

    • Accessibility Certifications: Formal accessibility certification such as DHS Trusted Tester, IAAP WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist), or CPACC, or equivalent formal accreditation.

    • Legacy Modernization: Proven track record of modernizing and refactoring existing legacy applications rather than strictly building greenfield solutions.

    • Domain Experience: Prior experience supporting public sector, government, or healthcare systems.

    • Additional Tech Stack: Familiarity with Angular, GitHub, and AWS cloud services.
