The Opportunity:

GSD Search is partnering with a growing software company in Allen, TX to hire two Full-Stack .NET Developers. The company develops cloud-based software that simplifies complex government business processes, including collections, assessments, payments, and related workflows.

This is a hands-on development opportunity where you'll have the chance to build and enhance business-critical applications, contribute to new product development, and have meaningful ownership over the solutions you create.

We're looking for well-rounded developers who don't just write code—they understand the business problem behind what they're building, ask good questions, and can translate complex workflows into reliable software.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support full-stack applications using C#, .NET / ASP.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop application logic, web applications, APIs, and backend services
  • Work extensively with SQL Server, including queries, tables, views, stored procedures, and data troubleshooting
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Translate business requirements and workflows into practical software solutions
  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify problems, and recommend solutions
  • Own development assignments through coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, and data issues across the full technology stack
  • Contribute to payment processing, financial integrations, data migrations, and other business-critical functionality
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintainable, reliable applications
  • Work collaboratively with a small development team while independently owning assigned projects and features

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience building business or customer-facing applications
  • Strong hands-on development experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET
  • Strong SQL Server / T-SQL skills, including queries and stored procedures
  • Full-stack web development experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience developing or integrating REST APIs / web services
  • Understanding of relational databases and data-driven applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate them into application functionality
  • Comfortable taking ownership of development assignments with limited hand-holding
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Must be located in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and able to commute to Allen for a hybrid work schedule

Nice to Have

  • ASP.NET Core / modern .NET
  • Entity Framework or ADO.NET
  • AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Payment processing, merchant services, banking, or financial integrations
  • Third-party API integrations
  • Data migrations and data transformation
  • jQuery / AJAX
  • Razor
  • Windows applications, services, or console applications
  • SSRS or other reporting technologies
  • CI/CD and automated deployment experience

Why Consider It?

This is a great opportunity for a developer who wants more ownership and visibility than you'd typically get in a large enterprise environment. You'll work on real business problems, interact with stakeholders, and have the opportunity to contribute across the full application stack rather than being limited to one narrow piece of development.

The team is open to developers from different backgrounds and levels of experience. Strong C#/.NET and SQL fundamentals, problem-solving ability, ownership, and experience building real-world business applications are more important than checking every technology box.

Benefits

The company offers health and dental insurance, optional vision coverage, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) with discretionary matching, paid time off, sick days, company holidays, and additional voluntary benefits.
