Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development, along with expertise in building scalable enterprise applications, microservices, and modern web solutions.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $57/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot technologies.
Develop responsive front-end applications and user interfaces using React.
Implement and integrate business process workflows using Camunda.
Design, build, and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks utilizing Cypress.
Execute application performance testing and load testing activities using JMeter.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams in Agile delivery environments.
Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience with:
Java Development, Spring Boot, Enterprise Application Development
Strong expertise in:
Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, Software Engineering Best Practices.
Experience with:
React, Camunda, Cypress, JMeter, Agile Development Methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms including:
AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure.
Experience working within Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native application development.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications and distributed systems.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $57.00 per hour
