An organization is seeking Full Stack Developers to support the migration of existing Microsoft-based, homegrown applications from a monolithic architecture into a microservices-based environment. This role involves hands-on development work using Claude Code as part of the daily workflow. The ideal candidates are senior, hands-on engineers who are comfortable working across the full stack, understand microservices design principles, and have direct experience breaking down monolithic applications into scalable, maintainable services.
Support the migration of monolithic Microsoft-based applications into a microservices architecture.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices APIs.
Use Claude Code as part of the day-to-day development workflow to improve speed and code quality.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to define service boundaries and migration strategy.
Develop and maintain full stack components across front-end and back-end layers of homegrown applications.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and adherence to development best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across both legacy monolithic components and newly built microservices.
Document technical designs, migration decisions, and service architecture.
8–10 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar software engineering role.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft-based development stacks (e.g., .NET/C#).
Direct, hands-on experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices architecture.
Strong practical experience with microservices design principles in production environments.
Hands-on experience using Claude Code in a real development workflow.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and service-oriented design.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, contract-to-hire environment.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience working in a healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industry.
Prior experience leading or contributing to large-scale application modernization or re-architecture projects.
