Full Stack Developer IV- Java & Python, Kafka, CockroachDB

Location: Richfield, MN

Salary Range: $75-80/hr on W2

Introduction

We are seeking a full stack engineer who wants to work on an agile development team. Our application stack includes technologies like Python, Groovy, Java, Spring, and Cockroach DB. There might be a small portion of UI with ReactJS and other tools. Our team typically follows all day pairing for everything – coding, meetings, analysis, and documentation – and rotates pairs every day. Our development process begins with Acceptance Test Driven Development, and we practice ‘Extreme Programming’ daily.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Java, Spring Boot - 10+ years of experience
• Python Programming - 5+ years of experience
• CockroachDB - 3-5+ years of experience
• Xtream programming- 3-5 years of experience
• React- 1-2 years of experience. 
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of modern deployment, CI/CD, and configuration management tools
• Experience in building web UI with ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks
• Scripting, automation, and troubleshooting of processes and systems; scripting in the shell and at least one of the following: Ruby, Perl, or Python
• Understanding of networks, security, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Building high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems
• Service development, REST, HTTP, Python, Groovy, Java, Spring, Cockroach DB, JSON, XML
• Test-driven development, paired programming, code reviews, and aggressive refactoring
• Work with open source software and tools (e.g., Spring, Apache, Tomcat, GitHub, GitHub Actions)
