Job Description: Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Role Overview
We re looking for a sharp, vocal, and autonomous Senior Full-Stack dev (Level 3) to join a local team in Buffalo.
This isn't a role where you sit back and wait for tickets. You ll own things end-to-end specifically taking the lead on moving high-volume data, onboarding new products into well-established pipelines, and modernizing our ETL processes.
The right person brings a modern, forward mindset to data architecture but also has the corporate endurance to jump into heavy legacy systems without flinching. We need a true senior who can hit the ground running on Day 1 with zero hand-holding.

Target Rate: Target, $80 (flex to $88.00/hr)

  • Location: Buffalo, NY (Ideally 4 days onsite; team is local)
  • Start Date: August 2026
  • Interview Process: 1-Hour Interview (Technical & Culture Fit)
  • Submission over email; Submit profiles to Stanley
  • Feedback; promised within 48-hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Pipeline & Product Onboarding: Follow established patterns to build SSIS pipelines, onboard new vendor products, and streamline data ingestion.
  • Data Movement & Heavy ETL: Manage data flow processes from staging to main tables, handling file conversions (EBCDIC, ASCII, flat files) coming from legacy vendor streams into SQL Server.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Act as an independent, vocal senior presence on the team. Own the entire SDLC, troubleshoot automated incident triggers (via Automic scheduler), and drive best practices.
  • Legacy to Cloud Modernization: Support the existing on-prem to on-prem data infrastructure while implementing a modern, cloud-native mindset to prepare the architecture for a future migration to Microsoft Azure.

Must haves
  • 7+ years of exp. The team are looking for a Sr, vocal engineer.
  • C#.NET (Web apps, Desktop apps, and Web Apis)
  • Angular
  • SSIS (ETL)
  • GitLab
  • Cloud exp (Azure pref)
  • SQL
  • Git (DevSecOps)
  • Postman
  • They need experience with a 3rd party scheduler (e.g., Automic, Control-M, Tivoli).
  • If scheduling experience is with native SQL Agent, they will not qualify.
  • Exposure to Mainframe files. They won't be writing COBOL, but they need to know how to ingest, parse, and map flat files, ASCII, and EBCDIC data streams coming from vendors into staging tables.
Preferred exp
They don't expect a unicorn who knows all of this on day one, but the candidate must be able to adapt quickly.
  • Cloud (Azure): Preferred modern mindset. Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Terraform is a major plus to help them move from on-prem to cloud eventually.
  • Scripting & BI: Python (can pick up inline) and PowerBI.
  • Workflow Tools: Jira / Zephyr (source of record) and ServiceNow.
