Description

BCforward is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer in Columbus, OH for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a client in Financial Services. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications and secure APIs for enterprise banking platforms using Java and AWS. Key requirements for the position include 5 to 7 years of full-stack development experience, strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, and hands-on expertise with AWS services.

Compensation and Contract Details

Pay Rate: $60/hr to $70/hr W2.
Engagement: 6-month contract with conversion potential to Full-Time Employee (FTE).

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end full-stack applications using Java, React, and AWS cloud services.
Create, integrate, and maintain secure, resilient, and high-performing RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional product and platform teams to achieve delivery targets while troubleshooting production issues and optimizing system performance.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

5 to 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience specializing in full-stack architecture.
Strong programming skills in Java (80% focus) and frontend development in React (20% focus).
Extensive background with Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and SQL or NoSQL data stores.
Hands-on operational experience deploying and managing applications within AWS cloud environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-team communication abilities.
Experience with large-scale banking or financial platforms, Agile/Scrum delivery, and CI/CD automation pipelines is preferred.
