Automotive Accounting Office Position

Location: Ray Catena Auto Group – White Plains, NYBrands: Lexus, BMW & MINI

Position Overview

Ray Catena Auto Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of dealership accounting experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is required.

The right candidate will be responsible for posting deals, reconciling accounts, maintaining accounting schedules, and helping keep the dealership's financial records accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Post new and used vehicle deals accurately.
  • Review deal paperwork to make sure everything is complete.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and accounting schedules.
  • Process bank reconciliations and manufacturer statements.
  • Reconcile vehicle inventory and dealership accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
  • Review contracts and funding paperwork for accuracy.
  • Work with the Sales, Finance, and Office teams to resolve accounting issues.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and follow dealership accounting procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of automotive dealership accounting experience.
  • Reynolds & Reynolds experience is required.
  • Knowledge of dealership accounting processes, including posting deals and reconciling schedules.
  • Experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy dealership environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Lexus, BMW, MINI, or other luxury dealership.
  • Experience in a high-volume dealership.
  • Knowledge of manufacturer statements, incentives, and floor plan reconciliations.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience
