Job SummaryThe Fulfillment Manager will oversee and coordinate all essential functions of the distribution center and warehouse staff. Hours and WagesExempt salary positionMonday-Friday 7:00AM startStarting wage: $70,000-$92,000 based on relevant years of experience, education, certifications, and comparison to other employees already in this roleDuties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the fulfillment center, including scheduling, warehouse staff, and shipping and receivingMeasure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reportsEnsure customer complaints are investigated and resolvedConduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructiveCollaborate with department heads to coordinate production, sales, record controls, and purchasingForecast peak delivery periods and issue appropriate work assignmentsMonitor inventory levels, ensure stock availability, minimize costs, and meet compliance standardsStreamline logistics for cost-effectiveness and efficiency in warehouse operationsEnsure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality guidelines Lead weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignmentsHandle and participate in investigating employee concernsIdentify and escalate all operational concerns to appropriate managementDetermine labor needs to meet production goalsHire, train, discipline, and onboard new staffPeriodic travel may be requiredPerform other related duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesAbility to manage and coordinate a variety of shipping methodsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsThorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local and company safety policiesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEducation and ExperienceAt least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field preferred3+ years of experience in distribution or transportation industry preferredMust hold or obtain a valid forklift certification Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license OR successfully complete Company paid CDL training programPhysical RequirementsAbility to pass a DOT physical exam Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionallyAbility to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouseProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAbility to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animalsBenefitsHealth Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.EEO and Affirmative Action StatementSpee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
