Fuel Fabrication Manager

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Nuclear Fuel Fabrication Manager for an advanced reactor developer, a great opportunity for someone with experience in nuclear fuel fabrication, supplier oversight, and team leadership looking to further their career in the nuclear energy industry.

•      Build and lead a new team of about 5, hiring specialists and setting direction

•      Oversee HALEU fuel fabrication partners, supply contracts, and on-site work (20-30% travel)

•      Ensure fabrication facility design, construction, and processes meet regulatory, safety, and cost requirements

•      Own fuel engineering, manufacturing, licensing, and component-level design coordination

•      Mitigate schedule and quality risks to support on-time fuel delivery

Essential Qualifications

•      10+ years of nuclear fuel fabrication experience (7 years minimum); industrial fabrication, delivery, and contracts exposure, not lab-only

•      2+ years managing people, including hiring and mentoring; project management and proactive leadership starting projects from scratch

•      BS in nuclear, materials, mechanical, chemical, or other engineering field (MS/PhD may offset up to 2/4 years of experience)

Bonus Qualifications

•      New fuel fabrication facility or new fabrication process experience

•      MBA

•      U.S. Navy nuclear background with fuel fabrication experience
