Job Description:

Job Title: Fuel Dispatcher

Department: Fuel

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function:

This position involves tasks that average about 5-7 hours each Saturday and Sunday, during the day. Office setting and working at home options will be available. Rotate weekends with other dispatcher. Smart phone and laptop will be available to use during the weekend of coverage.

Accountable and Reports to: Category Manager, Fuel
Positions that Report to you: None

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Orders fuel for stores and subsidiaries.
• Traces late shipments and follows up with carrier.
• Verifies potential tank out of stocks and overfills.
• Answers telephone inquiries from stores, vendors, and carriers.
• Processes special orders for stores and arranges shipment of product.
• Track and log fuel supply terminal status communications
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; Will train.

Physical Requirements:

• Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
• Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling talking, hearing and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.

Telephone, copier, PC with word processing and spreadsheet software, printer, and 10-key calculator

Has consistent contact with suppliers/carriers, store and subsidiaries; occasional contact with customers and federal/state governmental or regulatory agencies.
