    Job Overview:         Fuel Deliver Driver will be responsible for delivering fuel to Blanchardville Cooperative Oil Association’s customers. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, safety-oriented, and has good customer service skills. This is a full-time position working approximately 8-10 hours/day depending on daily route demands. This position will also be responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction and compliance with all safety and compliance initiatives. We are looking for a candidate who will be a positive contributor to our vision and goals.

     

    Responsibilities:

    ·       Drivers are responsible for loading, hauling and delivering fuel products to customers in a variety of diverse locations (local homes, farms, farm fields, commercial sites, etc.).

    ·       This position is a local driving position which pulls multiple loads from our bulk plant or local terminal to deliver to customers or bulk plant on a daily basis.  This is primarily a Mon. - Fri. position with occasional weekends to meet business needs. Some flexibility with start/end times required to meet business needs.

    • Load fuel from bulk plant and local terminal and safely deliver to Blanchardville Cooperative customers in a variety of locations (homes, farms/farm fields, commercial sites, etc.).
    • Handle all physical requirements for loading, transporting and unloading fuel without assistance. This includes the ability to attach hoses/levers, lock on hoses, drag hoses, and climb equipment.
    • Provide an excellent customer experience during each interaction.
    • Perform basic math equations to calculate how many gallons of fuel are currently on the truck in order to accurately load the vehicle and keep record of findings.
    • Balance inventory reports on a daily basis and complete an accurate time record.
    • Monitor tank levels at the bulk plants on a daily basis, and report back to the main office to ensure fuel is ordered and tanks remain full.
    • Understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork.
    • Operate and maintain company vehicle safely and efficiently with a commitment to adhere/enforce all security procedures.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and the beginning and end of each shift worked and assist with routine light maintenance as necessary

     

    Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and co-workers
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to schedule changes based upon business need
    • Basic math aptitude skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to complete minor mechanical repairs

     

    Qualifications: Education, Training and/or Experience - Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Pass drug test and background check
    • Class B CDL with Air Brakes
    • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement (or ability to obtain)
    • Experience in driving in all types of weather conditions

     

    Qualifications: Education, Training and/or Experience – Preferred

    ·        One year of route transportation experience

    ·        One year of commercial driving experience

    • Basic knowledge of spill prevention and minimization techniques
    • Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and mandates
    • Experience in a customer service

     

    Work Environment:

    • Work in an outdoor environment in the elements up to two hours at a time
    • Sit/drive up to 11 hours per day max
    • Lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively
    • Drag up to 176 lbs. repetitively
    • Bend, kneel, crawl, and crawl into cab repetitively
    • Drag, push and pull hoses under and over barriers
    • Climb ladders and equipment
    • Walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time
