Full- Time Seasonal Medical Assistant

Gastroenterology East, P.A. & Endoscopy Center is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing outpatient gastroenterology practice. This role supports clinical and operational workflows while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced endoscopy setting. This is a seasonal position tentatively ending in August 2026.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and nursing staff, assists with patient flow and procedure room readiness, and ensures a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients undergoing outpatient GI procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc.
  • Managing patient flow to/from procedure room(s), and assists with patient positioning for procedures
  • Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiency, while providing services that exceed customer expectations, and improving clinical and financial operations
  • Assists with patient care within the MA scope of practice
  • Pulls case materials and stages in appropriate areas
  • Understands principles of aseptic sterile technique and their implementation
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • BLS certification required
  • Completion of Medical Assistant, CNA, or Patient Care Technician training
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical or patient care setting preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to change
