## FT Dean of Student Success and Engagement

Position Title: FT Dean of Student Success and Engagement Position Classification: Full-Time Administration

### Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Masters Degree from an accredited institution and at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience; OR
  • Doctoral Degree with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in higher education administration.
  • Experience in student affairs, retention, or academic support services.
  • Experience with counseling, academic support, intervention programs, and cocurricular student services required.
  • Experience in a community college preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory, student success frameworks, and student retention strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability using data to drive student success strategies and program improvement.
  • Strong technical skills including the organization and management of large datasets, data extraction, and advanced analysis using statistical software and data reporting platforms.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

### Position Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Student Success Center, Center for Student Support and Intervention, career services, alumni relations, student life, and athletics, and Schulman Gallery.
  • Develop, implement, and review the Colleges Student Success Plan and monitor progress and completion of the goals and directives.
  • Provide leadership in long-term planning initiatives that advance student success, student support, career services, and alumni relations.
  • Analyze student success and student support data, including retention and persistence rates, student engagement and participation, utilization of support services, post-graduate outcomes, to inform program design, recommendation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure early alert, intervention, and referral processes are coordinated and effective across departments.
  • Lead the assessment of student success, student support, career services, and alumni relations outcomes and utilize findings to ensure program effectiveness and inform resources allocations.
  • Promote a culture of assessment, accountability, and continuous improvement within student success, student support, career services, alumni relations, and student life and athletics.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to strengthen data collection, reporting, and program evaluation practices.
  • Provide leadership in coordinating and integrating academic support, student engagement, and intervention services to foster a cohesive student-centered experience.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify barriers to student success and develop scalable strategies and recommendations to address those challenges.
  • Oversee student life programming, including athletics, arts, and engagement initiatives, to foster a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.
  • Ensure student organizations, athletics, arts programming, and esports activities align with institutional initiatives and support student development goals.
  • Oversee the alignment of career services with workforce development initiatives, employer partnerships, and academic programs.
  • Support alumni relations efforts that promote lifelong engagement, mentorship, and sustained connection to the College.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Advancement, Academic Affairs, and external partners to enhance career placement outcomes and expand alumni involvement.
  • Serve on college committees and represent student success, student support, career services, alumni relations, and student life and athletics in campus-wide and external partnerships.
  • Supervise staff, assign and prioritize work, establish schedules, and approve denials of leave.
  • Make recommendations for hiring, discipline, termination, and problem resolution, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Entry Salary: $87,295.64 annual Standard Work Week: 35 hours Apply End Date: April 9, 2026
