Description
Summary
Plans, directs, and oversees all areas related to Fire training within Curriculum and Continuing Education. This position is responsible for assisting in the organization, administration, strategic planning, policy development, program and faculty evaluation, and the general effectiveness of the Fire Technology and In-Service programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises one non-supervisory employee and several part-time staff positions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education Minimum: Associates degree from an accredited institution in Fire Science / Fire Technology or a related field.
Education Preferred: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Fire Science or related field.
Experience Minimum: Two (2) years Administrative/Supervisory experience, Five (5) years fire-rescue experience.
Experience Preferred: Two (2) years teaching experience / Two (2) years in an administrative / supervisory role. Experience with online course delivery systems such as Blackboard/Canvas.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office. A complete knowledge of Microsoft Products as used in overall management in an educational environment is required. Experience creating training using various authoring tools.
