What's the Job?
- Lead the plant's food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and develop the FSQA team, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of prerequisite programs and BRC standards, serving as the BRC practitioner for the facility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key performance indicators related to environmental performance, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization during audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring transparency and compliance.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; graduate degree preferred.
- HACCP, GFSI certifications required; auditing accreditation preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in food safety and quality management.
- Experience with USDA meat processing is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
