    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Floor Manager as needed
    • Fulfills all duties and responsibilities under the Floor Manager job description when scheduled as a Floor Manager
    • Works 5 days in a Front of House capacity
    • Assist servers in any way (expedite food, greeting/bussing tables, etc.)
    • Run the podium on evenings/days as needed to control traffic flow
    • Oversees Cashier/Host, Carryout, Bussers and recommends changes where needed
    • Schedules, hires, and trains Cashier/Hosts, Carryout, and Bussers
    • Keeps employees well informed on all pertinent restaurant information including hours, specials, prices, holidays, gift shops, and events, etc.
    • Updates and works with trainers and floor leads to keep on top of training and performance issues
    • Conducts meetings with Host/Cashiers and Bussers as needed
    • Confers and works with the kitchen staff to provide teamwork to quickly serve food to guests as it is completed by the kitchen for banquets and carryout
    • Ensures guests have an excellent experience from the time they enter our building to the time they leave
    • Ensures staff is engaged and focused on customer service (pushes the 15-5 Rule)
    • Ensures Front of House area is clean and organized
    • Cleaning checklists in place
    • Kids’ supplies, placemats, bags, etc. are stocked
    • Signage up to date and to company standards at table tops and carryout
    • Helps to observe all front-line staff to give input in evaluating them on a daily basis for good customer service and efficient behind-the-scenes responsibility
    • Helps to make updates and changes to the front-line manuals
    • Organize dining rooms and storage areas
    • Keeps extra chairs out of dining spaces
    • Works with team on the importance of upselling in house & carryout
    • Emphasizes creating a positive and inviting culture for our employees to work in
    • Investigates and resolves service complaints for front line
    • Enforces uniforms polices to keep to DHG standards
    • Works with the restaurant manager and the assistant manager in set up and planning of scheduled banquets
    • Additional duties as needed or directed

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Experience as a leader in a high-volume kitchen of a full-service restaurant
    • A natural leader with experience training and coaching
    • Ability to communicate fluently, read and comprehend simple instructions
    • Willingness to work rotating days and nights with Saturdays a must
    • Serve Safe Certification required or completed in first year of employment
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Able to travel intermittently

    Physical Requirements:

    • This position requires being on your feet for extended periods of time
    • Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell
    • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
    • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
