IDR is seeking a Front End UI Architect to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, TN. In this role, youll help define and scale modern front-end architecture for a high-traffic digital commerce ecosystem, partnering closely with engineering, product, and UX teams. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys setting standards, guiding multiple squads, and driving measurable improvements in performance and user experience.
Position Overview for the Front End UI Architect:
- Define and govern scalable front-end architecture across multiple digital product teams
- Lead modernization efforts using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Micro Frontend patterns
- Establish UI standards, reusable component strategies, and design-system alignment (e.g., Storybook)
- Partner cross-functionally to embed accessibility, SEO, performance, and observability into solutions
- Provide architectural guidance through reviews, documentation, and mentorship for senior engineers and team leads
Requirements for the Front End UI Architect:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a front-end/UI architecture or technical leadership capacity
- Expert-level React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience with strong responsive web fundamentals
- Deep hands-on experience with Next.js and modern rendering approaches (SSR, SSG, ISR, and client/server rendering tradeoffs)
- Strong knowledge of state/data management patterns (e.g., Redux Toolkit, React Query, Context API, GraphQL clients)
- Proven ability to communicate architecture clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders using diagrams and decision documentation
