Our Innovation Center is currently seeking a Big Data Performance Architect to join our rapidly growing team. The Center is a startup within an enterprise, focused on applied research that can be quickly brought to market as production services and new financial services products. Our teams of data scientists work on treasure grove of fascinating financial data that is unique to our organization , to potentially solve some of the most pressing financial challenges of modern economy like illiquid bonds. We are also working on rebuilding data platform for some of the highest priority corporate initiatives using Silicon Valley practices and open source and big data technologies.
Responsibilities
Design and implement new user-facing features. Build the libraries and frameworks that support large, complex web applications. Optimize web applications to maximize speed and scale. Support diverse clients from high powered desktop computers to small footprint mobile devices. Write client-side code for web-based applications, create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
Requirements
Development experience in JavaScript, Java
BS Degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and AJAX.
Web application development experience.
Significant experience developing user-facing software.
Experience engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
Development experience designing object-oriented JavaScript.
Knowledge of web libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, Polymer, and Closure.
Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
An understanding of the principles of accessibility and can build products that are accessible to users with disabilities
