    At AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), we build and operate the authentication and authorization infrastructure that secures the AWS cloud. Our systems process tens of millions of transactions per second, making it one of the largest distributed systems globally. We"re part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), which powers core AWS services including S3, EC2, and continues to drive industry-leading innovations across Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity services.

    We"re seeking a Software Development Engineer with frontend expertise to develop and enhance user experiences across multiple AWS consoles. In this role, you"ll create intuitive, secure, and scalable frontend solutions that help customers manage access across their AWS environments.

    • Proficiency in JavaScript and Java
    • Experience building responsive, scalable web applications
    • Understanding of modern frontend frameworks and web standards
    • Knowledge of web security best practices
    • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills

    Key job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
    • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
    • Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
    • Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
    • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
    • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
