    Position Summary:

    The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting Front Desk Leadership and/or the General Manager while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. This position also supports efforts to maximize room revenue, occupancy, guest satisfaction, and overall front desk performance.

    This is an entry-level supervisory role designed as an introduction to hotel leadership and management. The Front Desk Supervisor will gain hands-on experience leading daily front office operations, supporting and coaching team members, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring hotel standards and procedures are consistently followed.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Supervise daily Front Desk operations and provide direction and support to Front Desk team members.

    Lead by example in delivering friendly, professional, and efficient guest service.

    Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching Front Desk employees.

    Ensure proper completion of check-in, check-out, reservations, billing, and payment procedures.

    Handle guest concerns and service recovery situations, escalating matters to management when appropriate.

    Monitor room availability, rates, upgrades, and opportunities to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

    Review Front Desk logs, shift reports, guest requests, and follow-up items to ensure proper communication between shifts.

    Assist with scheduling and coverage of Front Desk shifts as needed.

    Ensure cash handling, credit card, and deposit procedures are followed accurately.

    Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience.

    Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, local attractions, promotions, and upcoming groups/events.

    Support management with operational projects, administrative responsibilities, and departmental initiatives.

    Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional Front Desk and lobby environment.

    Serve as a point of leadership when senior management is not immediately available.

    Perform Front Desk Agent responsibilities and other duties as needed based on hotel operations.
