Job Summary

The Front Desk Supervisor at Marriott Tampa Westshore is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk team to ensure exceptional guest service and smooth check-in/check-out processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest concerns efficiently while maintaining Marriott's high standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support front desk associates to deliver outstanding guest service.
  • Manage daily front desk operations including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
  • Train, coach, and mentor front desk staff to enhance performance and professional development.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, reservations, and billing information.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling and staffing to meet operational needs.
  • Perform administrative duties such as reporting and inventory management as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or guest service role within the hospitality industry.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
