Description
WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with prior medical office, ambulatory surgery center, or healthcare reception experience who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments and procedures.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient payments.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Obtain and scan insurance cards, referrals, and medical documentation.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
- Assist with patient registration and completion of intake paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of medical receptionist, medical office, ambulatory surgery center, or healthcare front desk experience preferred.
- Experience verifying insurance and obtaining authorizations preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
