Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Float

Locations: Multiple Queens & Nassau County locations
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 5 shifts per week (8.5-hour shifts between 7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
Pay: Starting at $26/hour + Benefits
Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Float to support multiple specialty healthcare locations throughout Queens. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills and prior medical front desk experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for managing daily front office operations, assisting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and front desk operations.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and provide timely support.
  • Collect copays and maintain accurate payment records.
  • Update and maintain patient information within the EMR system.
  • Coordinate physician schedules and ensure appointments are properly managed.
  • Respond to patient messages and collaborate with clinical teams as needed.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative support and assist with additional office needs.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2+ years of patient-facing medical reception experience required.
  • Prior EMR experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple office environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Healthcare or specialty practice experience preferred.
