We're currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist / Night Auditor to join a hotel team in Carbondale. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, providing exceptional customer service, and taking ownership of their shift.
This position offers a set 32-hour schedule each week, with two evening front desk shifts and two overnight Night Audit shifts.
Schedule
- Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Tuesday: OFF
- Wednesday: OFF
- Thursday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM – Night Audit
- Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM – Night Audit
- Saturday: OFF
Pay Based on Experience
- $20/hour: Less than 1 year of experience
- $21/hour: 1–2 years of experience
- $22/hour: 2+ years of experience
What You'll Do
As a Front Desk Receptionist / Night Auditor, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for guests while handling front desk operations and overnight accounting responsibilities.
Daily Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs
- Answer phones and respond to guest questions
- Make and modify reservations
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest records
- Address guest requests and resolve issues professionally
- Provide information about the hotel and local area
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Complete Night Audit procedures during overnight shifts
- Balance daily transactions and prepare reports
- Monitor the hotel and assist guests during overnight hours
- Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and service standards
- Communicate important information between shifts
What We're Looking For

Qualifications
- Previous hotel, front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Night Audit experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional and welcoming attitude
- Basic computer and cash-handling skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to handle guest concerns calmly and professionally
