We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Associate / Medical Receptionist to join our optometry team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while supporting daily office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable multitasking in a busy healthcare environment.
Greet patients and provide a welcoming experience.
Manage patient check-in, check-out, and payment collection.
Schedule and confirm appointments to maintain efficient patient flow.
Register new and existing patients and update demographic information.
Verify insurance eligibility and maintain accurate patient records.
Complete required patient, insurance, and financial program forms.
Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and other administrative tasks.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, typing, and general computer applications.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous medical receptionist or optometry experience preferred but not required.
