Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and animal-loving Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our pet day care center. You will play a key role in ensuring a warm welcome for clients (both human and furry), managing bookings, handling inquiries, and supporting the daily administrative operations of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet pet parents and their pets in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage social media inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments, drop-offs, and pick-ups
- Handle payments, invoicing, and basic accounting tasks
- Communicate clearly with pet parents about services, policies, and updates
- Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, tidy, and presentable
- Collaborate with the pet care team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Monitor pet pickup and drop-off activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist with light cleaning or pet handling when necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role preferred
- Passion for animals and comfort around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using computers, booking software, and office equipment
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with animals, noise, fur, and occasional messes
