A busy Beverly Hills plastic surgery practice is seeking an experienced, personable, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist & Medical Assistant to serve as a key part of both our front-office and clinical team.
\n

This is a hybrid position for someone who is comfortable welcoming and communicating with patients at the front desk while also assisting with clinical care, surgical preparation, postoperative visits, and treatment-room responsibilities.
\n

A minimum of one year of direct surgical or medical experience is required. Candidates without prior experience will not be considered.

Position Overview

The Front Desk Receptionist & Medical Assistant helps create a seamless patient experience from the moment a patient enters the office through their preoperative and postoperative care.
\n
The role combines traditional front-desk responsibilities with hands-on medical assisting. The ideal candidate is warm, polished, sociable, dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive. They should be comfortable communicating with patients, managing multiple responsibilities at once, and recognizing what needs to be done without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

- Greet and check in patients and provide a welcoming, professional front-desk experience
- \n
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient messages promptly and professionally
- \n
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- \n
- Assist with changes to the daily clinical and surgical schedule
- \n
- Collect and confirm required patient information and documentation
- \n
- Guide patients through required steps leading up to surgery
- \n
- Follow up on laboratory testing, medical clearances, evaluations, and outstanding documentation
- \n
- Communicate with surgical facilities regarding case information and scheduling
- \n
- Review routine preoperative and postoperative instructions with patients
- \n
- Check on patients following surgery and document relevant updates
- \n
- Assist the surgeon and clinical team during postoperative visits and in-office treatments
- \n
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
- \n
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked patient-care areas
- \n
- Assist with dressing changes and other appropriate postoperative care
- \n
- Recognize patient concerns and promptly relay clinical questions to the surgeon or appropriate team member
- \n
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient communications and completed tasks
- \n
- Assist with inventory tracking, ordering, and supply replenishment
- \n
- Help maintain an organized, efficient, and high-touch patient experience throughout the practice
