Job Description: Front Desk/Patient Coordinator

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator

As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring smooth daily operations. If you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced medical environment, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in costumer service setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and systems is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Impeccable phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Ability to calculate basic numbers and explain patient balances.

Duties:
  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays/balances.
  • Schedule appointments using our electronic medical scheduling system (Oryx).
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information.
  • Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.

Working schedule is:
  • Monday 8:30 - 5:00.
  • Tuesday: as needed.
  • Wednesday 9 - 5:00 or 11:30 - 6.
  • Thursday: as needed. 
  • Friday 7:30 - 3:00.
  • All team members required to participate in team building and community engagement social events. Community involvement is an important part of the job.
