Position Summary
The Dental Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, discreet, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced medical office.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients in person and by telephone
  • Answer phone calls professionally and courteously
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Verify patient insurance benefits
  • Assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Assist with patient admissions and treatment procedures according to established protocols
  • Respond appropriately to patient concerns and emergencies
  • Maintain front-desk supplies, equipment, and repair requests
  • Follow office policies, procedures, and established protocols
  • Protect patient, doctor, and staff information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information
  • Perform other front-office duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous dental or medical front-desk experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strong computer and information technology skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to urgent situations
  • Professional, compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
  • Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
  • Passion for providing excellent healthcare service
Preferred Experience
  • Dental front desk: 1 year preferred
  • Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling preferred
