Position SummaryThe Dental Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, discreet, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced medical office.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist patients in person and by telephone
- Answer phone calls professionally and courteously
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Verify patient insurance benefits
- Assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist with patient admissions and treatment procedures according to established protocols
- Respond appropriately to patient concerns and emergencies
- Maintain front-desk supplies, equipment, and repair requests
- Follow office policies, procedures, and established protocols
- Protect patient, doctor, and staff information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information
- Perform other front-office duties as assigned
Qualifications- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous dental or medical front-desk experience preferred
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong computer and information technology skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to urgent situations
- Professional, compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
- Passion for providing excellent healthcare service
Preferred Experience- Dental front desk: 1 year preferred
- Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling preferred
