Front Desk Ambassador

The Front Desk Ambassador is the first point of welcome for guests at arrival, and a key contributor to creating memorable guest experiences throughout their stay. This role involves greeting guests warmly, efficiently handling check-ins and check-outs, managing guest inquiries and requests, and collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional greeting.
Conduct guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently (assign rooms, issue keys, process payments).
Handle guest requests, questions and complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain knowledge of the hotels room types, rates, amenities, on-site services and local area attractions; assist guests with directions and recommendations.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security and other departments regarding room readiness, guest arrivals/departures and special requests.
Operate front desk systems (property management system, point-of-sale, phone system) and handle cash bank, transactions, closing reports when required.
Ensure the cleanliness, organization and professional appearance of the lobby/front desk area.
Follow safety, security, and emergency procedures as required.
Uphold and represent the hotels brand standards at all times, acting as an ambassador for the property.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in hospitality is a plus.
Previous experience (1+ years) in a front desk, guest services or hospitality role preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with a guest-centric attitude.
Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, operate in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with front desk / property management software and standard office/computer equipment is preferred.
Flexibility to work various shifts (including evenings, weekends, holidays) as required.
Professional appearance and demeanor, strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; may require lifting/moving light objects (depending on specific property).
Shift work including nights, weekends and holidays may be required depending on hotel operation.
