Description of Position: Freshman Boys Basketball Team assistant Coach. Responsibilities to include: Planning, Organizing and Conducting daily practices Assist in management of uniform and equipment distribution. Develop practice and game strategies in accordance with the Head Varsity Coach plan. Maintain adequate communication with athletes and parent(s). Keep Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach informed of scheduling changes, athlete and/or parental issues. Provide support to Head Coaches as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: Applicant Requirements: Coaching experience preferred. Applicant must have basic understanding of technical aspect of basketball. Applicants must have playing experience at the high school varsity, club, and/or college level. Familiarity with the Catholic High School League and knowledge of the MHSAA organizations preferred. Willingness to meet all League and state coaching requirements. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and parents. Must take Protecting God's Children workshop, background check, and digital fingerprints. After School availability (3:00 pm or after) for practices and events. Saturday availability during season.
