Freight Cross Dock Forklift Operator- 1st Shift

A Cross Dock Forklift Operator is a forklift driver who moves freight directly from incoming trucks to outgoing trucks or staging areas with little or no long-term storage in a warehouse.

Their primary goal is to keep products moving quickly through the distribution center.

Responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading trailers using a forklift.
• Moving pallets from receiving docks to shipping docks.
• Staging freight for immediate outbound shipment.
• Verifying pallet labels, quantities, and destinations.
• Inspecting products for damage.
• Using RF scanners or warehouse management systems to track inventory.
• Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
• Meeting productivity and shipping deadlines.

Skills required:

• Certified forklift operation
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (if required by the employer).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
