A creative events production company specializing in designing exceptional social and corporate events is seeking a Freelance Social Media Manager to join its team. The company operates across multiple international locations, delivering memorable experiences and is known for its dynamic approach and commitment to excellence in event design and execution.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr - $45/hr

Position Overview:
The Freelance Social Media Manager will lead and grow the company's social media presence. This role focuses on building brand awareness, engaging online communities, and transforming live event experiences into compelling digital content. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and skilled in visual storytelling and social media trends.

Responsibilities of the Freelance Social Media Manager:
  • Develop and execute social media strategies across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create and manage engaging content including reels, videos, stories, carousels, graphics, event announcements, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Build content calendars aligned with upcoming events, campaigns, launches, and key dates.
  • Attend events to capture real-time content such as photography, video, interviews, audience reactions, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Manage publishing, scheduling, community engagement, and comments.
  • Identify social trends, sounds, formats, creators, and cultural moments to create content opportunities.
  • Monitor social media performance and provide regular reports on reach, engagement, audience growth, traffic, and conversions.
  • Use performance insights to continuously improve content and campaign strategies.
  • Maintain a consistent and recognizable brand voice across all platforms.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Social Media Manager:
  • 2-4+ years managing social media for brands, events companies, agencies, entertainment businesses, or hospitality brands.
  • Must be able to work during business hours.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms.
  • Proven ability to create visually engaging and culturally relevant content.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • Comfortable filming and creating short-form video content on a smartphone.
  • Strong knowledge of social media analytics and performance metrics.
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during live events as needed.
  • Proactive, creative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel when required.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Social Media Manager:
  • Experience with social media management tools and scheduling software.
  • Background in event marketing or hospitality social media.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software.
  • Knowledge of influencer marketing and partnership development.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field preferred.
