We are seeking an experienced Apparel Quality Control Inspector to inspect garment production at factories in Los Angeles and immediately surrounding suburbs. This is a part-time, project-based role with recurring inspection opportunities throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-line / during-production inspections (DUPRO), Final Random Inspections (FRI), and Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI).
- Perform 100% inspections when required.
- Check measurements against approved specifications and tolerances.
- Inspect workmanship, construction, fabric appearance, color consistency, trims, hardware, and labels.
- Check for visual defects, stains, damage, packing, and assortment issues.
- Classify defects and prepare detailed photographic inspection reports.
- Communicate findings and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Apparel or garment inspection experience.
- Knowledge of garment construction, measurements, workmanship, and common defects.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to travel to factories in Los Angeles and nearby suburbs.
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant on-site experience.
- Experience with recurring factory inspections and apparel production quality standards.
- Familiarity with AQL sampling and defect classification.
