      NOW HIRING! Fraud Analyst

      We're looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to join our Compliance team. In this role, you'll help protect our members and the credit union by identifying suspicious activity, conducting in-depth investigations, and preventing financial losses. Every day brings a new challenge as you investigate fraud cases, analyze transaction patterns, collaborate with law enforcement, and help members navigate difficult situations with confidence and care.

      What You'll Do:
      • Monitor fraud detection systems and analyze member behavior, transaction activity, devices, and locations for signs of suspicious activity.
      • Conduct investigations involving electronic fraud, debit and credit card fraud, account takeover, identity theft, check forgery, elder financial exploitation, money laundering, and check kiting.
      • Manage fraud claims and lost/stolen card reports, including gathering supporting documentation and reviewing member affidavits.
      • Exercise sound judgment when evaluating fraud claims and determining appropriate actions within established policies and regulations.
      • Prepare detailed investigative reports and document findings, recommendations, and loss prevention efforts.
      • Assist branches and other departments with fraud-related training, procedures, and documentation.
      • Serve as a primary contact with law enforcement and external agencies regarding fraud investigations and elder exploitation cases.
      • Ensure compliance with BSA, OFAC, Patriot Act requirements, and all applicable regulations and company policies.
      QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Associate degree, specialized certification, related training, or equivalent work experience.
      • Minimum three years of experience in fraud investigations, compliance, financial crimes, banking, or a related field preferred.
      • Experience working with Visa, Mastercard, chargebacks, disputes, and payment processing systems preferred.
      • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
      • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, word processing software, and fraud monitoring systems.
      • Knowledge of financial regulations and fraud prevention practices preferred.
