Franchise Sales Development Manager
About the Role
Special Strong helps children, adults, and veterans with disabilities build strength and independence through adaptive fitness. We are growing our franchise network and looking for a Franchise Sales Development Manager to turn qualified interest into committed franchise ownership.
You will own candidate relationships from the first conversation through funding. This role calls for strong sales judgment, consistent follow-through, and the ability to help people make a major business decision with confidence.
Compensation
• $80,000 base salary
• $2,500 per funded franchise, with no commission cap
• $500 per additional territory sold
• Up to $30,000 in annual performance bonuses
A franchise is funded when the Franchise Agreement is fully executed, and the full initial franchise fee has been received.
Sales Expectation and Earning Potential
After the first 90 days, the expectation is
3 funded franchises per month. For illustration, averaging 3 funded franchises and 2 additional territories per month over a full year would produce:
• Base salary: $80,000
• Franchise commissions: $90,000
• Additional territory commissions: $12,000
•
Total before performance bonuses: $182,000•
Total with the full performance bonus: $212,000
Actual earnings reflect funded sales, additional territories sold, and any performance bonus earned.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the candidate pipeline from discovery through signed agreement and funding
• Lead discovery calls, presentations, webinars, and validation conversations
• Help candidates and their advisors evaluate the opportunity and resolve questions
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and next steps
• Work with marketing to improve lead quality and conversion
• Meet sales goals and coordinate a clear handoff to the onboarding team
• Represent Special Strong at franchise events as needed
Qualifications
• Proven success in franchise development, business development, or consultative sales
• Strong communication, relationship building, and closing skills
• Ability to manage a complex sales process and follow through consistently
• Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
• Willingness to travel as needed
Experience in fitness, healthcare, education, or service franchises is a plus. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but demonstrated sales success matters more.
