Fractional Drupal Developer

Position Details:

Type: Ongoing contract, part-time/fractional, remote

Platform: Drupal 11, hosted on Pantheon, multi-site setup using the Domain Access module

Overview:

CDFinance News is an industry news website and weekly newsletter published by Partners for the Common Good, running on Drupal 11 on Pantheon as a subsite within our Domain Access multi-site setup. Kanopi is our long-time hosting and backend partner and will continue in that role. We're looking to bring on a fractional Drupal developer to work embedded with our team on an ongoing basis - redesigning the front end, building new editorial features, and evolving the site over time, coordinating with Kanopi on anything touching hosting or backend infrastructure.

The first step is a paid evaluation of the current site, delivered as a written report covering:

• Current state of the site: theme, content model, taxonomy, installed modules, Domain Access/Pantheon config
• Technical debt or constraints worth knowing about
• A recommended approach and sequencing for the focus areas below
• Your hourly rate and an estimated hours/cost for tackling each one

Initial Focus Areas (scoped and prioritized together after the evaluation, with more added as the engagement continues):

• Header, Navigation & Taxonomy Foundation
• Flexible Layout Templates & Homepage Components
• Visual Design & Typography System
• Content & Editorial Features
• Photo & Media
• Comments & Moderation
• Ongoing QA, Documentation & Coordination

Engagement: Part-time/fractional, ongoing. Initial commitment of roughly 12 months expected to continue based on fit.
