Job Overview:
Pay Range: $66.44hr - $71.44hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 6+ years of experience.
- Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance is required.
- Experience in a multi-disciplined engineering development environment managing time and resources for multiple concurrent programs.
- Ability to perform functional testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to productively contribute work, ideas and collaboration as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and able to manage and complete projects within budget and schedule restraints.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve the Reliability of Department of Defense (DoD) communications systems including wideband, narrowband, and SATCOM.
- Develop, support, and manage the FRACAS (Failure Reporting Analysis & Corrective Action System) process for specific communications products.
- Identify failure trends in a complex electronic, low volume environment to improve product reliability.
- Develop advanced communication subsystem hardware/software for multi-domain applications including space, ground, and airborne.
- Perform root cause analysis, investigation, and make recommendations for design improvements based on analysis.
- Direct investigations and determine root cause of failure on various design, production, and reported field failures.
- Make recommendations to the Failure Review Board (Client).
- Determine resolution of communication system failures and corrective actions in support of the FRACAS program.
- Coordinate efforts and issue resolution with Engineering, Manufacturing, Programs, Material Control, and Quality departments.
- Review fault isolation and troubleshooting procedures for communications systems.
- Maintain FRACAS database, monitor status, track open investigations, and generate reports for management and customers.
- Prepare and generate detailed repair reports for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) and Warranty return units.
- Document findings, root cause analysis, corrective actions taken, and disposition recommendations.
- Develop, deliver, and present technical data to management and customer reviews.
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience supporting a FRACAS program.
- Familiarity with FRACAS software or databases.
- Working knowledge of Reliability Analysis and Failure Mode / Fault Tree Analysis.
- Understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting complex electronic systems including data link and mechanical systems.
- Strong background in data mining using Business Objects and SQL.
- Experience performing Reliability and FRACAS specific analysis and activities.
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4+ years of prior related experience.
- Degree preference in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Qualification And Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10+ years of prior related experience.
