ABOUT THE ROLEA growing financial institution is seeking an experienced FP&A leader to drive enterprise forecasting, budgeting, executive reporting, and financial planning initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders, treasury, and risk teams to develop financial forecasts, analyze profitability, support balance sheet planning, and provide strategic insights that guide executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong banking or financial services FP&A experience and a deep understanding of balance sheet dynamics, interest rates, and profitability drivers.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
- Manage the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast updates.
- Partner with business leaders to analyze financial performance, identify variances, and explain key business drivers.
- Develop and enhance financial forecasting models incorporating interest rates, market conditions, and business strategy.
- Analyze net interest margin (NIM), loan growth, deposit trends, and other key banking metrics.
- Support capital planning, liquidity management, and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with risk management to incorporate credit risk and macroeconomic assumptions into forecasts.
- Prepare executive management reporting, profitability analysis, scorecards, and financial presentations.
- Conduct financial modeling, research, data analysis, and model validation initiatives.
- Review the work of financial analysts and provide project leadership.
- Support audit and regulatory reporting requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes and financial reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5 10 years of FP&A and/or strategic finance experience within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of bank balance sheets, loan and deposit dynamics, and profitability drivers.
- Experience with Asset Liability Management (ALM), Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP), and balance sheet forecasting preferred.
- Experience with Hyperion Planning or similar budgeting systems is a plus.
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven project management and process improvement experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
