FP&A Analyst
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19154 (Onsite)
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 + Bonus
About the Opportunity
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable organization to identify an FP&A Analyst for its corporate finance team. This position will play a critical role in driving profitability through gross margin analysis, freight cost optimization, vendor rebate management, and strategic financial planning.
The ideal candidate will serve as a key business partner to Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Branch Leadership by providing actionable financial insights that support business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and maximize financial performance across a multi-location distribution environment.
Responsibilities
Analyze gross margin performance by Branch, customer, vendor, product category, and salesperson
Identify margin leakage and provide recommendations to improve profitability
Develop and maintain customer, product, and vendor profitability reporting
Support pricing initiatives through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and profitability assessments
Analyze inbound and outbound freight spending and identify cost recovery and optimization opportunities
Partner with Operations and Logistics teams to improve freight efficiency and reduce transportation costs
Track vendor rebate program performance and attainment levels
Collaborate with Purchasing and Vendor Management teams to maximize rebate earnings and profitability
Support monthly financial reviews, variance analysis, and management reporting
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Develop financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to enhance business visibility
Present financial findings, trends, and recommendations to Finance and Operational Leadership
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting, analytics, and decision support
Provide ad hoc analysis and strategic recommendations to support organizational objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Pricing Analysis, Distribution Finance, Supply Chain Finance, or related financial analysis roles
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial reporting
Experience analyzing gross margin, pricing, freight costs, and operational performance metrics
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments
Experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools
Exposure to pricing strategy, vendor rebate programs, and transportation cost analysis
Experience building dashboards and automating reporting processes
Knowledge of large-scale operational or multi-location business environments
