Fountain Freedom - Field Technician
Gunter, TX | Full-Time | Field-Based
$22–$38/hour, depending on experience
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Fountain Technician to join our field service team. This hands-on, outdoor position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing floating fountains, aeration systems, pumps, and related equipment.
Previous fountain experience is not required. Candidates with experience in mechanical, electrical, construction, landscaping, irrigation, equipment repair, or other field-service trades are encouraged to apply. Training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Install, deliver, maintain, and repair fountains, aerators, pumps, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-panel issues
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
- Safely operate tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Follow installation procedures, job plans, and safety requirements
- Keep work sites clean, organized, and professional
- Communicate job updates, equipment issues, and project needs
- Represent the company professionally at customer locations
- Work effectively with field teams and follow direction from Field Leads and management
Experience That Transfers Well
We welcome candidates with backgrounds such as:
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or welding
- Small-engine, automotive, diesel, or equipment repair
- Landscaping, irrigation, groundskeeping, or ranch/farm work
- Pool, marina, well, septic, or water-system service
- Pest control, security, cable, utility, or other route-based field service
- Construction, installation, maintenance, or general trades
If you've spent your career installing, repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting equipment in the field, your experience may transfer well to this position.
Qualifications
- Mechanical or electrical aptitude
- Experience with tools, equipment, installation, maintenance, or field service
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and follow technical instructions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors and perform hands-on, physically demanding work
- Willingness to learn new equipment and technology
Experience with pumps, motors, fountains, or water systems is a plus.
Growth Opportunities
Technicians who demonstrate strong technical skills, reliability, and leadership may advance into a Field Lead position with additional responsibility for site leadership, safety, quality, and team coordination.
