Are you an experienced leader in the manufacturing industry with a knack for overseeing complex foundry operations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Foundry Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your management skills and foundry knowledge to supervise and coordinate the activities of our foundry team. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our foundry operations run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Foundry Supervisor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the foundry, including planning, organizing, and directing production activities to ensure that products meet or exceed company standards.
2. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
3. Providing hands-on management and leadership, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the foundry team.
4. Monitoring production schedules and work orders, identifying any potential issues, and taking proactive steps to address them.
5. Coordinating with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Engineering to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
6. Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and implementing appropriate training and development programs to enhance the skills of the foundry team.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including environmental regulations and labor laws.
8. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance of the foundry operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a foundry or similar manufacturing environment.
2. Strong knowledge of foundry processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
3. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing a high-performing team.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization.
6. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
7. The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office and manufacturing management systems.
9. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
