Description: Join our team! Lead Foundry Worker Overnight Shift: Day Shift Hours: 3: 00 AM 1: 30 PM, Monday through Thursday Overtime: 8 hours typically available on Fridays Occasional Saturdays Currently optional but may become required
Education Requirement High School Diploma or GED required Top Required Skills (Must Be Clearly Shown on Resume) Experience with mold making Experience with melting and pouring materials Knowledge of finish room functions Ability to learn quickly and step into the role with minimal training Strong communication skills Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Position Summary The Lead Foundry Worker performs all standard foundry duties while supporting the Foundry Supervisor and providing leadership in their absence. This role plays a key part in daily operations, production coordination, and team oversight.
Primary Responsibilities Perform a combination of the following: Core making (forming internal casting surfaces) Mold making (forming external casting surfaces) Mold closing (assembling molds and cores) Sand testing (sampling and evaluating sand quality) Melting (prepare and adjust molten metal) Pouring (transfer molten metal into molds) Shakeout (remove mold material and reclaim sand) Casting cleaning: Remove gates, risers, fins Surface repair and inspection Abrasive blasting Provide daily support to the Foundry Supervisor Lead and coordinate team activities in supervisor s absence Assist with production planning and scheduling Communicate updates to the planning department Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of experience in at least two of the following: Pattern shop/storage Core making Mold making/closing Induction melting Pouring Shakeout Abrasive blasting Grinding Casting inspection and repair
1+ year experience operating: Forklift Overhead crane Front-end loader
Job Requirements General knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes Understanding of workplace safety standards Ability to work effectively within a team
