Founding Software Engineer

Skills: Typescript, React.js, AWS, React Native.

 We are looking for a highly motivated and talented founding engineer to join our team and help shape the future of local commerce delivery logistics. As a founding engineer, you will design and build the core technology that powers our product and distribution ecosystem. You will work closely with customers, partners, and the founding team to build a roadmap that aligns with our goals.

The company has raised pre-seed funding and aims to build a community of merchants and drivers to deliver a merchant-friendly last-mile delivery platform. We have a healthy runway for the next few years, and our goal is to build a compelling product and demonstrate strong, sustainable growth.

What you will do:

• Develop the core technology that powers our product using a modern tech stack, including TypeScript, React, React Native, Python, Postgres, and AWS.
• Design and build front-end, back-end, and infrastructure applications to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with the founding team to understand business needs and develop a technical roadmap.
• Thrive in ambiguity and take ownership to execute with high levels of agency.
• Make design trade-offs to ensure we move quickly now and in the future.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality products.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience building products from the ground up.
• Prior startup experience or experience working in a team of fewer than 5 engineers is preferred.
